If you’re one of those people who are so busy you don’t have time to go to the gym (or if you just dread going to the gym in general) this workout is going to be for you.
Let’s talk fitness for a minute. My fitness journey has been all over the place quite frankly. When I was getting married I trained at the gym 3x a week with a trainer who was a beast (she was amazing and worked me HARD). I never looked so good as I did during that time in 2011. Then I got pregnant in 2013 and from that point on I had never worked out again other than maybe a leisurely stroll with the kids.
We (my family) decided to start seeing a holistic, homeopathic doctor this past November and that is when we started the Paleo lifestyle (cold turkey). In March, I was told by her that I HAD to work out 7 days a week for at least 30 minutes a day on the treadmill or walking at a quick pace outside. That was at minimum. Well I was pretty much like, oh my goodness how am I going to do this (because I never liked working out)? Well you do what you gotta do when your health is at risk.
Flash forward to today and, SURPRISE, I actually like working out and I look forward to the gym and my weight training every day! Who would have thought?!
So, I know it’s hard when you’re a working mom, or a career woman working long hours and you’re tired and you’re trying to meet up with friends or go home and see your kids, do bedtime and endless loads of laundry….you think “Eh, I’ll workout tomorrow” and then tomorrow comes and you’re even busier! Put your health first. You only get one life and one body. You will thank yourself.
I found this really great video that you can do at home, at the gym, before bed, or even at the office. There’s 11 awesome ab workouts and I’ve been doing some of these with my weight training and oh my word can I already see a difference and FEEL a difference too!
Life’s busy, but make sure you slow down to take care of yourself so you can enjoy your busy lives.
