Have you ever needed breakthrough in your life for a specific situation? Did you get it? I’m going to tell you how you can for sure have breakthrough in your life as I have mine.
These past three weeks I’ve been on a 21 day fast + prayer. I’ve never done this long of a fast but I had some mountains that I wanted moved and prayers that I had been praying on for so long that I wanted answered. You might say, “fast and prayer”? Have I lost my mind? Some days you might think so with some of the crazy things I end up doing like putting the milk in the pantry or the 409 in the refrigerator. Haha. However, regarding this fast, I’m completely on my game.
The past three weeks I’ve been fasting some things that are weaknesses to me such as grains, sugars, + meats. I’ve also been fasting shopping (which is my ultimate weakness and go figure there’s been so many amazing sales during this three-week period). I’ve only been eating vegetables, fruits, nuts, and eggs and I only drinking water with an occasional coffee. YES, IT HAS BEEN HARD!! You don’t realize how hard fasting is until you’re having ridiculous cravings and you can’t satisfy them. Or until you see something you really wanted but it was so expensive and then it drops an insane amount and you can’t buy it because you’re fasting shopping.
Regardless of how hard it was, let me tell you that yesterday the Lord showed me, that He heard my prayers + He hadn’t forgotten about me.
Not one, but two of my prayers, two of my BHOG (big hairy audacious goals) were answered yesterday!
If you’re looking for breakthrough in your life, if you need that giant mountain moved, and if you need the impossible to be done, then I want to encourage you to fast + pray and seek the Lord. I’m so glad I accepted this challenge because I was feeling like what I was praying for was never going to happen. I was reading about Zipporah last week in “The Blessed Woman by Debbie Morris“, and she was gracious in a challenging situation. While reading it I realized I wasn’t really being “gracious” during my challenging situation so I made a promise to practice that a little harder this week.
I’ve learned SO much these past couple weeks and again I’m reminded that God’s timing is always perfect. Even when we seem to disagree with Him (as we all do from time to time).
I couldn’t wait to share all of this with all of you because this is authentically who I am. This is what drives me, and whether or not you’re a believer or not, I am and I’ve seen miracles happen! I hope you all have such a wonderful and blessed rest of your week and remember, no mountain is unmovable. Nothing is impossible when you hit your knees. xoxo
